Become a Superhero!

Did you ever have a superhero growing up? What did you like about this superhero?

I would like to be a superhero. I don't know what I would want as a super power though. I don't want to be super smart, to have super speed, or even the ability to fly. Maybe I would like to have the ability to see everyone's pain and be able to ease their pain. Some people hide their problems better than others. Maybe it's better on my sanity not to be able to see all the pain that everyone carries around with them all at once.

But starting today, I'm going to work harder! I'm going to look harder. I'm going to do a better job of being a frriend, and I'm going to help ease someone's pain each day.

I can be a Superhero too!

Today, I saw a homeless man standing on the street corner with a sign. Within the course of ten minutes, I saw four groups of people stop and give him money. Just when I start being pessimistic about the world, I see the care and love that people have to offer.

Here are some suggestions of how you can be a hero too:
1) Talk to a friend and help him/her solve a problems that is currently stressing them out.
2) Post something funny (instead of pessimistic) on facebook.
3) Ask a friend, what he/she needs help with.
4) Don't just speak, but actually talk to everyone one you run into, especially the people who serve you (it will make their jobs a little happier, I promise!)
5) Volunteer! It will change your life; it has changed mine!
Here are some organizations that truly are inspiring:
a) Asha for Education - dedicated to educating India's underprivileged children.
b) Gram Seva
c) Habitat for Humanity
d) Teach for America
e) American Heart Association

Let me know about the organizations you are a part of or organizations that inspire you in the comments below!

Stare Down

Has you ever been disappointed in yourself?

Well look yourself in the mirror, and Give yourself a PEP TALK!!!

Don't be disparaging! Don't be negative! Have a stare down! Tell yourself what you like about the situation, and what you could do better!

If you are not going to be serious with yourself, is there much chance of improving?
Or even feeling better about yourself?
Show that person in the mirror, I can do this!
You can be proud of me!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Make time for the loves of your life. Whether is your best friend, your joy of cooking, or the thrill you get from running. Put a smile on your face, and go do something you love! You deserve it!
P. S. Don't forget about yourself! You ARE your own best friend, the one that takes of you, the one who loves you, and needs love too!

Cherish life!

I know it's hard, sometimes feels impossible, but we only get to live once. We only get once chance at making friends, one chance to make someone happy, one chance to love without holding back, one chance to change the world and leave YOUR mark on the world.

How will you do that? Will you leave your mark by making delicious food to share, by holding your friends hand through the darkness, or by healing someone?

Life is too short! Live. Love. Laugh. Be happy. And SMILE  because You're Awesome!

Ever feel like not doing anything? Have too much work to do and not enough time in the day to do it all? Ever just want to run away?

Well, do it! No, I'm not advocating you to run away from your problems! But go, get out of your room, your office, your house, and run. Take ten mins to run around the block. Go out and get that blood moving. Get charged! Then come back and work. You'll be more energized and be more productive I promise.

We all need breaks! Here's one for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HygFG-yvh4
